Here's a simple DIY recipe for a moisturizing mist that you can make at home:
Moisturizing Mist with Aloe Vera and Rosewater
Ingredients:
- 50 ml rose water (moisturizing and soothing)
- 30 ml aloe vera gel (moisturizes and soothes the skin)
- 10 ml glycerin (moisturizer)
- 5 drops lavender essential oil (soothing and antibacterial, optional)
- 1 teaspoon jojoba oil or almond oil (light nourishing oil, optional)
- 1 spray bottle (100 ml)
Instructions:
- Start by sterilizing the spray bottle by washing it with warm water and mild soap, and let it dry.
- Mix rose water, aloe vera and glycerin in a small bowl.
- If you want to use essential oil and/or a light oil like jojoba oil, add these now.
- Pour the mixture into the spray bottle and shake gently to mix the ingredients.
- Keep the mist cool, preferably in the refrigerator for an extra cooling effect when applying. The mist lasts up to 2–3 weeks.
Use:
- Shake the bottle before use.
- Spray an even layer over the face after cleansing or when you need a refreshing boost during the day.
This moisturizing mist recipe is mild and suitable for all skin types, especially dry or sensitive skin
